Clay Loveless has started adding Prototype/Scriptaculous support in Solar as a series of view helpers. Although I’ve been calling it this in my notes for months, I wanted to share with the world my shorthand for this library combination: “Protaculous.” That is all. :-)

I think it will be better if you guys add support for xajax which:
“is an open source PHP class library that allows you to easily create powerful, web-based, Ajax applications”.
Xajax provides much more than the flashy effects of Scriptaculous

Hi vivpuri — we’re building it so you can have different helper sets for different libraries. The Prototype library has one helper interface, the Scriptaculous helper has a second. There’s every reason to think we should be able to add separate Dojo, Xajax, or other helpers as they become necessary or popular.

Grandma always said that a poultice of sweetgum sap and turpentine would cure a bad case of Protaculous, though it only works when there’s a full moon out. During the rest of the month, you can only carry a piece of tarnished silver in your left pocket and hope for the best.
